Zennox dv566 digital camera. Blank screen, Does it need a charge?

Today I bought A zennox dv566. I put in the battery and switched on to be greeted by the main "Zennox" screen. The camera then went on to a blank screen which stays the same until it switches itself off. I have had it charging for over an hour now and the same thing happens. Is this normal? I mean does the battery need a full charge or should i be concerned.

I've never heard of Zennox, so I googled it. It looks like they specialize in making incredibly cheaply made electronics. The problem with electronics is you pay for what you get. You pay cheap you get cheap. In other words, you wasted your money. There is probably nothing that can be done to fix your camera, it was DOA.
