  1. It is not.

At our sons' school our oldest one was still getting attacked by other students for doing his work and keeping quiet. The lazy principal would always say that unless "he sees it it didn't happen."

So, I had to resort to more extreme measures and have a straight talk with the bullies' fathers one at a time. The attacks did stop suddenly too.

Zero Tolerance is a false front to give complete naive moron parents hope. If a student is attacked and it is swept under the rug and never reported by a student or a staff member it cannot be counted as a statistic, therefore it is referred to as Zero Tolerance.

We home school now for this lazy excuse of a public school system.

People give us c**p about home schooling saying that our kids will have no social interaction. They have plenty of social interaction and what people refer to as socialization in public schools always ends up as a school shooting, bullying, harassment, ostracizing, and theft. What is so social about all of that?

Zero Tolerance is a cowards way of saying, "our public schools are safe as long as everyone is stupid enough to believe it."
