Yuri Zheludkov believes Zenit St. Petersburg can win the upcoming matches in the Russian Premier League and UEFA Champions League after their victory against FC Baltika
The defending Russian Premier League champions, Zenit St. Petersburg, ended their three match winless streak with a 2-1 win in the Russian Cup against FC Baltika Leningrad at Stadion Baltika on Tuesday.
The St. Petersburg club recorded the win in the domestic cup on the back of losing two games which included a tough away game in the UEFA Champions League against Malaga CF and a draw against FC Krylia Sovetov Samara last week.
Yuri Zheludkov has expressed his satisfaction over the Russian outfit’s latest win, saying that the Meshki have now re-established their confidence after winning against the Russian First Division team.

“The upcoming league match and the forthcoming Champions League’s tie will test Zenit this season. Spalletti’s men need to win both the home games in front of their supporters, which is very important after a series of disappointing
results. I think Zenit will outperform Lokomotiv 2-1.”
“But If the St. Petersburg club will lose their second group stage game against the Milan-based club, they will be in big problem as they will lessen their chances to progress from the group stages of the continental tournament.”
