Zhu Jiani clinches Women’s 200m butterfly title: Day one – 2011 Chinese Long Course Nationals
Day one of the 2011 Chinese Long Course Nationals end with the matchless splash of Zhu Jiani in Rizhao, China, on Thursday, September 22. The final session of the meet conducted several events.
Zhu Jiani secured golden crown in the Women’s 200m butterfly final heat, while Cheng Feiyi won Men’s 100m back-stroke crown. Zhou Jiawei earned gold medal in the Men’s 100m butterfly and Shanghai clinched the Men’s 400m freestyle relay title.
Initially, Zhu Jiani came out strongly and won the Women’s 200m butterfly crown with a victorious mark of 2 minutes and 07.89 seconds. In the corresponding race, Gong Jie earned silver with an impressive mark of 2 minutes and 08.16 seconds, whereas, Li Tingtin
secured bronze medal in a time of 2 minutes and 08.47 seconds.
Secondly, Liu Xiaoyo took home the Women's 50m breast-stroke crown by submitting a winning time of 31.55 seconds. Meanwhile, Zhao Jin secured silver with a mark of 31.72 seconds and Suo Ran settled on the podium with bronze in a time of 32.01 seconds.
The Men’s 100m back-stroke crown was clinched by Cheng Feiyi with a riveting time of 54.42 seconds. In the corresponding swim, Sun Xiaolei was placed second with a mark of 54.89 seconds and He Jianbing settled third in the respective meet with a time of
55.10 seconds.
Ma Xiang won Men’s 100m breast-stroke title by posting a winning mark of 1 minute and 01.33 seconds. Lai Zhongjin finished second in a time of 1 minute and 01.49 seconds, while Xie Zhi was placed third with a mark of 1 minute and 01.56 seconds.

In addition, Zhou Jiawei topped the Men’s 100m butterfly race with a triumphant mark of 52.43 seconds.  Zhang Qibing wound up second in 52.64 seconds, while Chen Weiwu settled in third in a time of 52.77 seconds.
Finally, Shanghai snared the Women’s 800m freestyle relay title with a winning mark of 7 minutes and 59.60 seconds, whereas, Beijing snagged the Men's 400m freestyle relay crown with a victorious mark of 3 minutes and 20.99 seconds.
