Zhu Xiaoya wins Women’s 200m IM title: Day three – Chinese Long Course Nationals
Zhu Xiaoya put forward her best attempt to impress the arena in the final heat on day three of the 2011 Chinese Long Course Nationals, in Rizhao, China, on Saturday, September 24. The final session of the meet conducted several intriguing races.
Zhu Xiaoya secured the golden crown in the Women’s 200m Individual Medley final heat, whereas, Wang Shun took home the Men’s 100m freestyle title. Wang Junyao earned the golden crown in the Women’s 50m freestyle race. Last, but not the least, Qu Jingyu captured
the Men’s 50m breast-stroke title of the platform.
Initially, Ye Shiwen came out strongly in the Women’s 200m IM final race and notched the golden crown of the platform by posting a striking time of 2 minutes and 13.08 seconds. In the corresponding race, Li Xuanxu secured the silver medal on the podium by
posting a matchless time of 2 minutes and 13.22 seconds and He Yuzhe earned bronze medal of the platform by submitting an impressive time of 2 minutes and 14.47 seconds.
In the Men’s 100m freestyle final race, Wang Shun posted the fastest time of 49.78 seconds. In the corresponding swim, s**+ Pengfei took home the silver medal on the podium by posting a winning time of 49.85 seconds. Meanwhile, Zhang Enjian secured the bronze
medal on the podium by submitting a matchless time of 50.06 seconds.
On the other hand, the Women’s 50m freestyle title was clinched by Wang Junyao with a winning mark of 25.62 seconds. Jiao Liuyang earned silver medal on the podium by posting an intriguing time of 25.71 and Yao Jianan settled with bronze in a time of 25.76
seconds.
Finally, Qu Jingyu powered the wall in 28.25 seconds to win the Men's 50m breast-stroke crown of the platform. In the corresponding swim, Li Tianhao took home the silver medal on the podium by posting a mark of 28.33 seconds and Ma Xiang earned bronze title
on the stage by posting an impressive time of 28.37 seconds.
All athletes took a huge ovation from the crowd and judges due to the impressive swims, while the victorious were awarded accolades after the session’s completion.
