The legendary footballer has taken out time to caution his compatriots against the threat posed by the midfield maestro.
Real Madrid’s Sporting Director, Zinedine Zidane, has expressed that the French national side must watch out for Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta in order to contain http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 and Spain are set to lock horns in the quarter-finals of the Euro 2012.
The last time the two teams met in an international tournament was in the FIFA World Cup 2006 in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904. Les Bleus were able to overcome La Roja with a final score of 3-1 in a game which was heavily influenced by Zidane himself.
However, things might be different this time round as the Reds have been on top of the world of football for the past 4 years.
The Iberians secured the silverware in the European Championship during the previous edition of the coveted competition in 2008. The last Euro saw the Reds assert their supremacy all over the continent as they made good use of the talented squad at their
disposal.
From there on, there was no stopping for La Furia Roja as they went on to claim the FIFA World Cup trophy in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/South-Africa-c757 two years later.
Hence, heading into this year’s Euro, the Reds were tipped as heavy favourites to reclaim their European title.
However, France have shown great potential themselves and can be considered a real threat for the World champions.
Zidane has stressed that the Bleus need to be careful while handling Iniesta.
While talking to reporters, the World Cup retired veteran quoted:
“Iniesta is really impressing me. He's got so much influence in Spain's game. He reminds me of myself, but he is more pale than me.”
"I guess the press are being too tough with Spain. For me, the team are playing well, but it's not easy when their rivals are tight in defence."
Spain against France will take place at the Donbass Arena in the Ukrainian city of Donetsk on Saturday.
