Ziefhd to improve her Polytrack record in Breathe Spa At Lingfield Park Marriott Fillies´ Handicap
Thanks to an impressive track record at Lingfield, Ziefhd makes the best appeal in the Breathe Spa At Lingfield Park Marriott Fillies´ Handicap, taking place on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. The daughter of Haafhd made her first outing here in May 2012, when finishing second behind Xinbama.
It was not a fluke. Despite continuous embarrassment at other venues, the filly kept her fine Lingfield record intact. In July, she surprised everyone by taking a close neck-distance victory in the 32RedBet.com Claiming Stakes. Winning two of the previous three outings shows how good rhythm she is in.
After grabbing a classy win here in July, the 3-year-old perpetuated her wonderful work to add another victory to her tally. The audience at Kempton saw her notching up the first position by a head’s distance. She has recently joined Tim McCarthy’s yard, and made a good outing under his command last time.
Although the Living Sports-owned could not come out on top, it was not a disgraceful loss. In the hands of Mark Coumbe, the 14-1 chance shared the podium with Pettochside and Brocklebank in the Trade & Construction Raceday Handicap (Betfair Sprint Flat Series Qualifier) at Epsom.
She is really in good momentum, and could make a bold bid in her attempt to improve Polytrack record. The job is no easy though. There are a dozen horses in the line-up for the class 5 meeting. The show will be started at 13:30 GMT. On Lingfield’s standard to slow six furlongs, the participants will be hunting a cash prize of £2,386.
Diamond Blue could become a big danger to Ziefhd, only if she translates her turf form to Polytrack. Although wins are not coming to her way regularly, she has been running quite decently over the past few months.
On the other hand, Tiger Cub is also determined to play a role. In order to have a chance, the Mrs Ilka Gansera-Leveque-trained will have to bounce back from a disappointing loss at Yarmouth last time. She was a convincing winner on her previous start here at the end of August. So, no one can rule out her chances.
