ZigZag pattern...it does not come out that way,Help

Question

I have try this pattern 4 times it will not come out the same way as the pic shows.Can somebody help me with this.I believe it is not the pattern for a zigzag pattern.Any ideas?

I looked at this pattern and I too find it a bit confusing, what with the slip slip decrease,etc. Here's a link to another zig zag pattern afghan. You can use that stitch which is much easier to follow and incorporate it into your current pattern. Hope that will work.

if the pattern is not coming out the way the picture demostrates, then contact the person who made the pattern and tell them what about the problem.
