Zildjian Planet Z hi hat cymbals question plz help drums?

okay well i ordered a Zildjian Planet Z hi hat set and i got two bottoms and thay won't exchange it back so it their really any deference between the bottom and the top or will it not work right

it's not a perfect solution, but get an abs or plastic washer that fits the hole but allows the rod to go through and two larger fiber washers for either side of the 'top' hat so that you can tighten the cymbal to the rod. you might have a problem with compression and if you do just offset the top hat slightly so the two cymbals don't mesh.
