At this point in time it was imperative for Eagles to bowl-out their opposition on a small total. On the other hand, Rocks needed to bat the whole day in order to post a staggering first innings total to exert pressure on the fielding side.
R Mutumbami and PI Burgoyne were however, in no mood to let the fielding side enjoy the day as the two batsmen countered every move by the bowlers as they denied them any breakthroughs earlier in the day.

Burgoyne was unfortunately running out of partners as with his team sitting on 386, T Mupariwa became the next batsman to lose his wicket. He fell after scoring only five runs.
Before things could get any worse, TN Garwe and Burgoyne grabbed hold of the situation as the two batted their side to 455 before http://www.senore.com/Cricket/TN-Garwe-c2695 hit the showers after scoring 33 runs.
