Australia A was completely in control at stumps on day two of the second First-class match of the Zimbabwean tour, at the Harare Sports Club, July 22, 2011. The Aussies scored 282 runs without losing a single wicket against the home team
and trail by 18 runs with two days left in the match.
Zimbabwe XI started the day at 250 runs for the loss of five wickets. However, they could not show much of a resistance against some brilliant bowling the visitors. As a result, the whole team was dismissed for just 300 runs in the 107th
over of the innings. The Zimbabwean top order had shown some bright signs on day one but the late order disappointed big time.
Zimbabwean captain, Brendon http://www.senore.com/Cricket/H-Masakadza-c1517 also shone with a well-made 64 off 141 balls, with the help of 11 fours.
Test fast bowler, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/PM-Siddle-c2197, was the pick of the lot for Australia as he claimed four scalps after giving away a mere 45 runs in his 19 overs. He had been struggling with fitness since the Ashes 2010-11, but his recent performance is
a good sign for Australia.

In reply, Australia A was off to a great start through http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Aaron-Finch-c881 as both of them enjoyed the perfect batting conditions and played some breath-taking strokes to demoralize the Zimbabwean bowlers.
Warner, who has been labeled as a limited overs specialist for Australia, played his natural game and proved that he can also score runs in the longest format of the game.
The left-hander was unbeaten on 154 runs, for which he consumed 235 balls and struck 17 boundaries along with a couple of massive hits out of the park. Finch also completed his ton and made 122 runs not out off 192 balls with the help of
17 fours and one six.
The day ended with both Warner and Finch unbeaten and Australia A on a total score of 282, trailing by 18 runs.
