Following their 9-wicket victory over http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 in the final of the Twenty20 Triangular Series at the Harare Sports Club on June 24, Zimbabwe skipper Brendan Taylor expressed his delight with his side’s recent performances against top teams like the Proteas, whom they defeated twice throughout the course of the tournament.
“It's a huge feeling to beat a quality team. It shows us that we are heading in the right direction and we've been putting in the hard yards,” said Taylor. “We know we are a team that needs to put in a bit extra and we did.”
Placed at number 10 on the ICC’s list of top ODI teams, number 12 on the list of T20 teams, and unranked in the extended-overs format of the game, Zimbabwe have long been counted among the underdogs of international cricket.
