Zimbabwe rescues Pakistan – Zimbabweans to initiate international cricket in Pakistan in an effort to raise fund for flood-prone victims
Pakistan is drowned in worry after the massive floods. Zimbabwe meanwhile has offered to rescue the return of international cricket to Pakistan. At a time of deep distress the Zimbabwe team has offered their willingness to play in Pakistan. The destruction caused by the recent floods in Pakistan has proven to be more devastating than the earthquake the struck the country in 2005. Many organizations are working towards raising funds. According to the UN, the worst flooding in the region has affected more than 14 million people and took approximately 1,600 lives.
According to the chairman of Zimbabwe cricket http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Peter-Chingoka-c81554, Zimbabwe is all geared up to play against Pakistan to help the flood-affected country.  He stated that the Zimbabwe players also approve of this decision and are willing to help the people of Pakistan.

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) Chief Executive Justin Vaughan blamed the security in Pakistan for the prevailing ban on international cricket. However a series with the kiwis on a neutral venue is still under consideration.
Earlier this year on April 24th, an ICC T20 warm up match had been played between Pakistani and Zimbabwean teams. Zimbabwe won by 12 runs. Chigumbura and Masakadza shone the board with 49 and 33 runs.

PCB states that before this national disaster struck Pakistan, a match with Zimbabwe was already under discussion. According to Chingoka, the first and foremost thing in their mind is to help the Pakistani people reduce their sufferings.  
The Zimbabwe team has given Pakistan full relaxation regarding the dates to be set. Currently no confirmation regarding dates has been observed.

Later in the year up till February 5, Pakistan will trek to New Zealand. However, the Zimbabwe team is all set for its domestic season and the event will be starting from September 6th.

PCB also mentioned that the flood relief clause was only hinted in the email from CE from NZC. The NZC, however, is averse to the idea. A formal PCB response is still awaited. 
With one fifth of the country under distress, the Zimbabwe’s noble gesture marks second occasion of help since the Sri Lankan team incident. Before Zimbabwe, the world eleven had offered to tour Pakistan.

The Zimbabwe team is not only helping Pakistan in raising funds; it is also paving way for the international cricket to return to the Pakistani ground.
