Zimbabwe to concentrate on fast bowling - Butcher
Zimbabwe cricket is concentrating on fast bowling and less attention is being given to the spin bowling for their future international commitments. Spinners were the backbone of their team for the last couple of years and the fast bowling department was
being neglected.
Zimbabwe’s national coach, Alan Butcher, ascertains that they can challenge the rival cricket playing nations only by promoting fast bowling. Butcher commented while talking to ‘The Independent’ in Zimbabwe:
"We are working with about 14 fast and medium-fast bowlers hoping that they will be fine-tuned to get them ready for the Test matches. In the limited-over games we would get away with playing three or four spinners and one fast bowler but for the Tests we
will need more of the fast bowlers”.
They will be playing a home Test series against Bangladesh, which will be very important for them. They can leave an impact on their return to the longer version of the game by giving good performances against them.

them ready well in time".
