The French legend says that it would be his greatest regrets for not being able to play for Olympique de Marseille and has hailed the influence of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 in the French league
Last night, French football legend, Zinedine Zidane was back in Marseille owing to some initiative taken by his sponsor. While talking to reporters, the former World Cup and European Championship winner admitted that he would always regret not being able
to play for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 as he supported the club as a youngster and went to the Velodrome often to see his idol Enzo Francescoli play for Les Phoceens.
“Never having played for OM is still a regret. I am a supporter of Marseille, as when I was young I used to go to the stadium with my friends to see my idol, Enzo Francescoli,” said the Real Madrid legend. Despite not being able to grace Olympique de Marseille
with his presence, Zizou says that the club is always going to be in his heart and that he will always support the Rhone giants.
One Marseille player in particular has impressed Zidane. The Frenchman is a big fan of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mathieu-Valbuena-c24690.
“I’m impressed by Mathieu Valbuena. He comes from where I started Bordeaux? No, Libourne. He followed a beautiful path, he is a player that I like a lot. The goal he scored for Les Bleus against Italy was beautiful,” says Zidane.
Another favourite subject of the former Caen man is that of his former side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926, the Frenchman says that victory was a deserved one for Didier Deschamps’ side and feels that finally Les Bleus are on the right
track.
Zlatanmania has literally taken over French football since the beginning of the new season and Ibrahimovic says that the presence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Ligue 1 bodes well for French football.
“Zlatan, he gives people what they want. Goals and the show. His presence in the French league is a good thing. Even though he scored twice against OM,” said Zidane.
And after his heroics against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, no wonder French Ligue 1 will be proud to have a player of such calibre in their camp.
