Real Madrid director of football won every major honour during an illustrious career and the Frenchman, widely regarded as the best midfielder of all time, has expressed his desire to kick-start his coaching career.
Zidane, who won the World Cup in 1998, feels that after a successful playing career, it is time for him to pass on what he has learned to others.
The Frenchman views himself as a person who has something to offer as a coach and hopes to help younger players. Zidane said that football is in his blood and wants others to learn from his massive experience.
"I want to start preparing to take the title of coach. I have lived 20 years of special moments and I want to convey and share my experience with others."
While talking to reporters, Zidane revealed that the decision to retire from football was the hardest decision of his life and the former Juventus man misses it every day of his life.
When asked about his final game with Real Madrid, the 40-year-old admitted that even though he tried to keep control of his emotions, he could not help but feel sad.
"I had never before cried on the field. But the day of my departure from Real Madrid, there were a lot of emotions and it was very moving. I have always been very reserved, but just before the match I could not hold it in. I was at the end of something that
had been my life.”
Zinedine Zidane admitted that he failed to hide his tears during his final outing at the Santiago Bernabeu but his emotions got the better of him. The Frenchman wishes to go back in time and relive those moments again.
