Zipit Wireless Messenger?

Hi, I saw you can buy the Zipit Wireless Messenger on amazon.com, and I was wondering if you could still only use the zipit's IM feature without purchasing the text messaging feature? Or do I have to buy the text messaging feature in order to activate the zipit? I only want to use it to IM.

  1. Yes, you can buy the Zipit for IM only. I believe its $150 for the one that doesn't have a monthly charge and it uses Wifi to send IM's.
