Zippo question?

I recently bought a zippo from my friend for 15 dollars and i want to use it to just play with it and to just have a working one. How could i convince my parents to buy me fluid for it so that it would light. I dont smoke and im 14 and please dont say you dont need one. Im not legally allowed to buy fluid
