These formed sometime yesterday. They are incredibly painful. When I run my tongue along the baseline it feels like a blister, but when I pull out my cheek and look there is no blister. I have been with the same man, exclusively, for 2 years, so I know it is not an STD (also was been tested, about 6 months ago at my annual.) Have not eaten anything unusual, but incredibly stressed out due to financial problems. If not for these financial problems, I would already be at the doctor. Anyone know what these are?

  1. You could have hand foot and mouth disease which are small blisters on the gums and can spread to the tongue and down the throat. Stress can bring on the Herpes simplex virus that are cold sores and not a STD. Cold sores and genital herpes are both caused by the Herpes simplex virus (HSV), however, they are usually caused by different strands of the virus. If you go to the doctor they can give you the meds that they use for the STD herpes that will actually heal this. Doesn't mean you have an STD to need the same medication. Many people have the cold sore strain.
