The Paris Saint-Germain star taunted his teammates during the half-time of the 4-0 Ligue 1 win over Troyes and has apologised for his behaviour
“Even my son can play better than you.” Those were the first words that came out of Paris Saint-Germain star, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s mouth during the half-time of the club’s 4-0 win over ESTAC Troyes in week 14 of the 2012/2013 Championnat. The Parisians ended
the first half with a 1-0 lead over Troyes and the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sweden-c3015 international was not very happy with the way the rest of his teammates had conducted themselves during the game.
However, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 man’s remarks indeed shocked the whole group and coach Carlo Ancelotti was also not impressed by the taunting statement.
According to Le Parisien, Ancelotti conducted a small meeting with the first-team the next day and thoroughly criticised all players for their lack of solidarity. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mamadou-Sakho-c23293 was reportedly not happy with the way Ibra spoke to the rest of his teammates
who shared the centre-back’s feelings.
Upon realising that he had taken things too far in the dressing room, the 31-year-old Sweden international did well to apologise to his teammates and said, “If I went too far, I’m sorry.”
The former Milanese star then explained that he was simply too frustrated and because he always wants to remain competitive, he wanted to motivate the players. The Scandinavian then said that he never wanted to offend anyone in the squad.
However, it appears that the message didn’t really get across as the striker was again in a foul mood in the aftermath of his side’s shocking Coupe de La Ligue exit at the hands of AS Saint-Etienne, the same team that ended PSG’s unbeaten streak at Parc
des Princes earlier this season.
Ibra was clearly angry at his teammates for their lack of imagination, especially Argentine international http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-Lavezzi-c13073 who had a very poor game against Les Verts.
However, now that most of his teammates understand why Ibra is always so pumped up, they have become frank with him and even rebuke him when he does something wrong which is indeed a sign of improvement for a side that still does not look like a team.
