The Paris Saint-Germain striker has stressed that the quotes attributed to him, in which he had said some negative things about Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, hold no truth
Reports in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 claimed that the 31-year-old does not consider the La Liga duo worthy of Ballon d’Or and there were few other negative things said about the pair. However, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has strongly denied those allegations and has stressed that he
did not make those comments.
While talking to reporters in Paris, the former Milan player angrily said that he never said those things and he respects both these players. The striker added that he is not the kind of player who says bad stuff about other players and it is against his
philosophy.
"I've only got good things to say about Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo," said the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 forward.
The Swede added that he never gave any interview in which he made negative comments about http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629 and these are the two players he respects the most.
"I never gave an interview in which I made negative comments about Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, two players I respect.
Slamming the negative tactics of the media, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 said that it is annoying to be a victim of such kind of journalism. Media do such stuff just to generate headlines and they don’t consider the consequences. The player said that this should not
happen again and made it clear that he didn’t make those comments.
"I'm annoyed and irritated to be the victim of this sort of thing, that is to say attributing fictitious comments to players just to generate headlines and controversy.”
The 31-year-old added that despite all the controversies, he respects the game of football. He respects his teammates to great extent and in addition to that, he also respects his opponents on and off the pitch. The striker added that he has played with
this philosophy throughout his career and he will continue to do so in the future.
“I respect football, my team, my team-mates and my opponents. That will always be the case."
