The AC Milan striker reveals that he had to ‘clear the air’ after his recent statement about the lack of funds at the Rossoneri; insists that the betting scandal is shameful for the game.

the Rossoneri’s diminishing financial prowess.
The Swede made headlines all over the media, when he claimed that the Diavolo will not be able to buy the needed talent because they are short of money.
Ibrahimovic admitted that he had to explain his words to the Rossoneri officials, but maintained that he has cleared the matter with the club.
The Diavolo striker stated that he is used to handling such situations in his career, and stressed that the important thing for the Milan outfit is to start preparing for their future.
The Rossoneri forward urged the media to help create a more positive environment ahead of the Euros, and insisted that a better atmosphere will only help the participating teams to perform at their best.
While talking to the press, the 30-year-old said:
“Yes, there were a few phone calls after my comments, but the fundamental thing is that we cleared the air. After many years in this sport I am accustomed to these situations. The important thing now is to look forward. The media
ought to help create a more positive atmosphere ahead of a major tournament. That way the team could focus more on its objectives.”
Ibrahimovic stated that winning the Euro 2012 with Sweden will be worth more than all the titles that he has claimed over the years. The Rossoneri striker insisted that winning for the country is something special, and enthused
that it would be a brilliant feeling to win the trophy and then celebrate with the fans.
When asked about the betting probe, the Diavolo forward stated that it is a shameful development, and insisted that it has nothing to do with the game of football.
The Swedish International maintained that he has always focussed on winning matches with his team, and insisted that he has never noticed anything strange happening around him.
