Zlatan Ibrahimovic inspires me, Says Juventus hit man Vicenzo Iaquinta
Juventus forward Vicenzo Iaquinta has recently come out in the press and has spoken of his admiration for AC Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic. “I take my inspiration from Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The guy is so tall yet he has the movement of David Pizzaro”
Zlatan Ibrahimovic was signed by AC Milan at the start of the season and the Swedish sensation has made an impressive start to his adventure with the Milanese outfit. Following Ibra’s goal against Ajax, the forward has now scored 5 goals in 6 appearances
for his new club.
Iaquinta was speaking to the press ahead of Juventus’ UEFA Europa League fixture against Manchester City. Iaquinta was injured for most of last season and has only returned from sidelines in recent weeks. Iaquinta was signed by Bianconeri in the summer of
2007 and the forward has gone on to make 70 appearances, scoring 28 goals.
The match against Manchester City will be a crucial tie as the result will go a long way in deciding who will top the group. Iaquinta is expected to start against Manchester City and the forward has stated he would like to score with an overhead kick.
Iaquinta went on to show his admiration for Palermo ace Fabrizio Miccoli. “Miccoli is an impressive player and I would definitely take something from him if I could”
Many have blasted the former Udinese striker for his less than impressive goal return but the forward has defended himself, “I am a striker who works for the team. You can say I am a modern striker”
Iaquinta was a constant pick for former Azzurri coach Vicenzo Iaquinta because of his tremendous work rate. The forward would run every blade of grass to win back position.
