Many newspapers have claimed that the Paris Saint-Germain man is earning 14 million euros per year. However, the reported amount is far from what the striker is actually earning
When asked by journalists regarding the huge salaries Paris Saint-Germain are paying their stars, the club’s sporting director, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 showed his impatience and stated that the amounts cited in newspapers are much higher than they actually are.
This summer, Les Parisiens conducted a major transfer coup when they secured the services of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 from Italian Serie A side AC Milan. Reports claimed that the 30-year-old striker arrived at Parc des Princes with the label
of one of the most expensive football players in the world and was on a 14 million euros per year contract.
However, Le Parisien has claimed that the Scandinavian earns way less than the amounts quoted. Reports claim that the former Juventus hitman earns ‘just’ 9 million euros a year which is exactly the amount he earned at the Lombardy club.
The only difference in Ibra’s current salary is AC Milan offered the striker a one-year contract while PSG were willing to give him a three-year contract.
9 million against 14 million is indeed a big difference even though, PSG have to pay 18 million euros (including taxes) for its star.
The Francois Hollande tax is something that will cost PSG a lot considering the fact that the cash-laden outfit has one of the most expensive payrolls in Europe at the moment. According to this new taxation law introduced by the French president, those who
earn more than 1 million euros per annum, will have to pay 75% in taxes, meaning that recruiting stars with high salaries, will cost PSG a lot of money.
Although the law has not been implemented yet, if the government chooses to remove the tax benefits of expatriation, Ibrahimovic’s monthly salary could rise to 3 million euros from 1 million euros which will make him one of the most highly-paid footballers
of all time.
Many people involved in French Ligue 1 football have let their reservations known about the Hollande tax which they feel would keep talent from coming to the shores of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899.
