Paris Saint-Germain thrashed Dynamo Kiev 4-1 in their opening group game of the competition at Parc des Princes, and the 30-year-old feels that if they continue playing like that, Les Parisiens have an outside chance in the Champions League.
While talking to reporters after the French club’s impressive victory on Tuesday, Ibrahimovic stated that the players have showed that they can survive at this level, and they want to succeed in Europe.
The former Milan player said that it was the first game for the Parisiens, and they did their chances no harm with a solid display at Parc des Princes.
However, the striker knows that PSG need to build on their impressive start if they want to achieve something this season.
“We have the quality and ability to play in the Champions League. This was the first game for the new team and we hope to continue like this.”
Ibrahimovic said that Paris Saint-Germain are in rebuilding phase at the moment and they need time to deliver positive results. However, the Swede has praised his teammates for getting along so easily and is eyeing success with his new side.
“Not everything can work perfectly from the start when you have so many players arriving in the summer, but we've played better in recent games and are getting more confident.”

“The atmosphere was fantastic. Things went well but today wasn't an easy game though. The 4-1 result doesn't mean we played a bad team. Certainly, we made them look bad today and we were the stronger team.”
