Matches against the arch-rivals are very intense and people told him how important it is to win against Les Phoceens.
“Right from the moment I arrived in Paris, people explained to me that matches against Marseille are something different, that they have a very special flavour.”

“They told me that this fixture is the French equivalent of Barca and Real Madrid - really electric.”
Talking about the match that took place at Stade Velodrome in the Game Week 8, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 said that it was a very intense match and players from both sides were under immense pressure. Marseille opened the scoring but Paris Saint-Germain equalised
through Ibrahimovic’s goal.
“Despite Marseille's opening the scoring, we reacted quickly. I scored a leveller then straight afterwards, a second, from a free kick.”
