The outright favourite of the Newmarket Classic, Frankel seems to have fallen by the wayside.
The latest forfeit stage took place on Wednesday, after which the aforementioned pair of race-horses were not made a part of the field that will be featuring 19 race-horses. Meanwhile, one of the other race-horses known by the name of Glor Na Mara was also
withdrawn by his trainer Jim Bolger. It has been reported that the trainee of Jim Bolger was as short as 25-1 with the sponsors for the big race.
The Newmarket Classic race will be run over a distance of one mile. The last year’s edition of the Group 1 event also caused the contention of 27 race-horses around the same time as now. Apart from the three race-horses mentioned earlier, the most significant
of the absentees from the Guineas were the Wootton Bassett and Dubai Prince.
The champion race-horse Zoffany has to his credit, the winning of five of his seven career meetings that he contended at the age of two. He trains under the care of the famed trainer Aidan O’Brien. On Wednesday, he was saddled into the King’s Stand and then
the Golden Jubilee Stakes that were a feature of the Royal Ascot.
On the other hand, Strong Suit could not manage to hold off Frankel in the Totesport.com Greenham Stakes that took place on Saturday. In this race, Strong Suit was only able to finish 13 lengths behind the champion race-horse Galileo. It has also been revealed
that Galileo might be the shortest-priced contender of the Guineas event in the last 27 years.
