I just started taking Zoloft for anxiety - I just picked up my prescription this morning. What are some important things I need to know about this medicine? Anybody who is currently taking it, or has taken it in the past - please share your experiences and advice. Thanks! =)

  1. Everyone is different as you know so you may have to try taking it different times of day to see what works for you. I can't take it too close to bedtime as it keeps me awake all night. A friend of mine finds she has to take hers with meals. I think the most important thing to remember is that it takes awhile (sometimes up to 6 weeks) before you get full results. Also, you should never just stop taking it...the dose needs to be tapered off by your physician should you discontinue it. Hope this helps!!!

  2. I have taken it.  Everyone has a different experience so I recommend reading the side effects and other information that comes with the medicine from the pharmacy. Also pay attention to your body.  If the meds seem to be giving you some weird reaction call your doctor and see if it's ok.
