Question:

Zoloft in my brain????????????

I stopped taking my Zoloft about a month ago, cold turkey. I only took 50mg daily for about 2 months. I was doing fine but then I suddenly started getting paranoid and was convinced that my Zoloft was "evil." So, that's why I stopped taking it. I had a few days of withdrawl. I went right back into my old habits and feelings x3. It's not so bad now but now I always have "tracers" and at night the shadows move. Last night I was terrified by it. It first started when I was in the mental facilty and started taking Zoloft. Now that I am no longer taking the Zoloft I just want to know why i still see the tracers and shadows. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I plan on asking my Dr. about this on Thursday but I would just like to know if im alone on this. Thanks.

  1. It is so common for people who are taking psychiatric meds to all of a sudden consider them evil or harmful.  They then stop taking them and all h**l breaks loose.

You went cold turkey which is a no no.  Withdrawal hits hard.  You were on the med for 2 months.

You are experiencing shadows either due to withdrawal or because you need medication.

I'm glad you're going to see your doc on Thursday.  Tell the doc everything.  Don't hold back.  He/she's there to help you.

Try not to worry.  What you're experiencing is very common (the shadows and tracers).  It can be fixed.
