Okay I was put on Zoloft around 3 weeks ago and it's kinda working but it can take a while with me for it to fully work. But I'm having bad side effects of Nausea and stomach problems. I also get really dizzy and Im always super tired when I take it.

Are these side effects just in the beginning or here to stay?

  1. They are probably sideeffects...after a while they go away

  2. I was experiencing very very severe side effects when I first started Zoloft 50 mg.  The side effects were vertigo (dizziness that sometimes strikes intensely out of nowhere), and severe migraine headaches.  It made me want to stop taking the pills altogether, but I decided to stick with it, and the side effects had totally worn off after a month.  I recommend to you taking the pill a few hours before you go to sleep, and that way you will sleep through the severe times of the side effects.  The side effects should be totally worn off within 2 weeks for you, they are definitely not permanent.  Stick with it!

  3. hey hun....SSRIs (which is the drug class that zoloft is in) can be tricky at first...i have been on zoloft as well and experienced similar things...the side effects should level off as ur body starts to get more used to it...it could take up to another 3 to 4 weeks...if the side effects don't go away by then i would go back to the doctor and see about something else...

    take care

  4. I tried Zoloft for 3 months with no change in the severity of side effects. It is supposed to be taken with your evening meal to reduce the side effects of nausea, but nothing I ate decreased the side effects.  It caused severe insomnia and excruciating constipation. One day I just flushed the pills down the toilet. Get your Dr. to order you another medication as there are so many antidepressants available.
