Zoltan Gera in talks with West Bromwich Albion; Wigan willing to discuss Boselli future
Gera open to Baggies return
Fulham midfielder, Zoltan Gera, is reportedly interested in joining his former club, West Bromwich Albion, in the summer transfer window.
Gera, whose contract with Cottager’s has expired after the 2010/11 season, is a free agent and is wanted by several clubs including Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 and Norwich City. However, the midfielder wants to return to the Hawthorns, where he was fan favourite
at one time.
The agent of the 32-year-old has revealed that they are in talks with the Baggies and hopefully a deal will be struck in the next few days.
WBA manager, Roy Hodgson, last week announced that he will make several changes to his squad after a decent 2010/11 season. The club have already signed full-backs, Gareth McAuley and Billy Jones, and are expected to announce a few more signings in the near
future.
Gera joined Fulham from WBA in 2008 and made more than 100 appearances for the club. The Hungarian also netted 17 goals in his Fulham career.
Hodgson rates the midfielder highly from their time together at Fulham and would relish the opportunity to sign the playmaker.
Wigan to discuss Boselli future
Wigan Athletic are ready to hold talks with striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mauro-Boselli-c24964, to discuss about his future at the DW Stadium.
The striker joined http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Martinez-c24468’s side from Argentine club, Estudiantes, for six million Pounds. But the striker failed to make an impact with the club and managed to score only one goal in 12 appearances for the club.
The Latics loaned him to Italian side, Genoa, in the January transfer window and he had a relatively better time with the Italian side. The 26-year-old scored two goals in 7 appearances for the club.
Martinez has confirmed that he will hold talks with the striker when he returns from his loan spell and will try to figure out a deal, which will be beneficial for all parties.
"Mauro is back from Genoa and he needs a rest first of all. He is a proven goal scorer, though, and that will never change. They are the hardest players to find. We'll sit down with him and find out how he found his time in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926. Then we'll work out what
the next step will be for all parties."
The Italian side are looking to sign the striker on permanent basis and are reportedly willing to offer half of the fee Wigan paid for his services.
