Zombie Apocalypse , Currently Thinking...

Question

I'm currently thinking, if a virus spreads and there is a infection around the globe, what shall I do? My dad works for the Military as a Major, should we start training he is paranoid about this too. Or shall we just wait and get infected?

I'm asking for a list of equipment and training processes and precautions. Thanks.

Plant sugar cane.  If any zombies show up you can put them to work.

I think human-sized glue traps would be useful to immobilize zombies, for at least a little while. What about mace, stun guns, and other non-lethal weapons? Would they have any effect? What about poisoning them? If you shoot somebody with so much narcotic that they die and then feed that person to the zombies, how would it effect them? Of course, guns and grenades and other lethal weapons would help. I would suggest baiting traps where you could regularly ambush groups of zombies. Eventually you can wear their population thinner. If you could somehow teach them to work for you, that would be a benefit.
