  1. I've only been to Toronto Metro Zoo- they have a train type thing, but it only takes you to a few exhibits. It's a lot of walking cause the place is simply enormous, and there are so many exhibits (many are large). Luckily they also have a lot of indoor pavillions housing several animals so you get to see a bunch at once.

In the area though, African Lion Safari. You ride the bus or drive your car (I'd suggest riding their bus though, the monkeys climb on your vehicle sometimes and have a habit of peeing on cars, picking at trim, etc.) Absolutely no walking basically :)

  2. Toronto Zoo is awesome.

Yes, it's massive and requires a lot of walking, but it's worth it.

It's $20 to get in, and you are allowed to take your own food and drinks in with you.  You can easily spend an entire day there checking out every animal an pavilion.

They also have a zoo-mobile with a few stops around the zoo.  If you get a zoo-mobile day pass you can get on and off all day as you please.  But it really is much nicer to walk around the place as you get to see more.

  3. The Toronto Zoo is set in the beautiful Rouge Valley. The Main Entrance is located on Meadowvale Road, Scarborough, north of Highway 401 (Exit #389 eastbound and westbound). The Zoo is accessible by car and public transit.Check out the link below

  4. Im going to second the recommendation for African lion Safari.  You can get alot closer to the animals in many cases. I had a Female Lion breathing on my window which was amazing to see. The monkeys that jump on the car are hilarious and alone are worth the drive. Cant say ive been to the metro zoo but ive heard good things. And it may be a bit off topic but check out Canada's wonderland. Its by far the largest and nicest park in Canada. No animals but huge selection of coasters, lots of fun.
