Zoo Tycoon 1. Playing it with my girlfriend, fun game. How about some tips?

Cant really find any online, but it would be nice to ask real people too. So, any good tips for me? especially this one.....Why cant monkeys stay in there cage? If i build a really large fence, will the guests still enjoy them? Does it matter which direction the "canopys" are facing? How much is a good amount to charge people?

Or anything. One or all questions answered are good. Thanks for the tips!
