Zoologist Career questions?

Question

How much job security is there for zoologist. Where are some places they work and what is the best place for them to work that makes the most money and travels the most? I understand they make little money but how much do u think? Could i live comfottably?And if not what is another way i could make money? Does this involve alot of field work because i really wanna have a job that you go into the field and study animals and nature.

This site will help you somewhat.  I am sure if there is a lot of money in it, but there is a lot os satisfaction and adventure.  You watch discovery or National Geographics, or animal planet, you will know what I mean.  But you need a lot of dedication, cause life can get prettry uncomfortable at times.

Zoologist is actually a very odd field. You will spend a lot of your studies learning about invertebrates so be prepared for that, you will probably have to work in research under someone in undergrad and then go for a masters and PHD in order to do the research. This is a very hard field and you need to make all the right decisions or you will quickly falter. You should only look into Major (Large) universities (especially state schools). These schools get lots of money to do these research projects. You should call several of the zoology departments and talk to some of their advisers. Dont feel bad about this, its their job, thats why their there. You will get paid more doing this then you would with just a zoology degree.
