Is east carolina a good college for zoology as a major ?

East Carolina is kind of liberal-arts-ish.  Good for pre-med.

Both NC State and Clemson are good zoology schools.

Which college is not what would ultimately make the difference if your are interested in zoology or associated branch of study. After you start an MPhil then its your published work which would speak for itself. Yes a good undergraduate foundation is essential, however your own research is what makes the great contribution to the zoological community.
