Last night I had my camera at a marching band thing, my friend Adam asked if he could look at the pictures or take some, and I was like yeah sure. So i leave for 3 - 5 minutes. I come back, turn the camera on and try to zoom out, and it says "Please turn camera off and then on" So I did. and It keeps coming up. And normally the lens goes out then in when turning off, and then comes out again when on. But it won't move at all. Can i repair this myself, or is it not repairable at all and I have ot just get a new camera?

  1. If it is an inexpensive camera out of warranty it most likely isn't worth fixing. Most digital camera's are rather fragile, one bump in the wrong place "like the lens" and it is ruined.

  2. your friend hit the lens

    it is bent

it will cost $150 or more to fix

    sorry...

  3. go back to the store that you bought your camera from and go to information.
