Zoom level button is missing from the screen...help!?

Question

When I first opened the internet explorer..there was a zoom level button on the right bottom of the computer screen..But the following day it was gone..I have no clue how did that happened..Can someone help me to retrieve that whole bar at the second to the bottom of the screen?

enable status bar from view button.in IE6

on the upper right hand corner of the screen on the new internet explorer there is a drop-down tools icon. hit that and go to toolbars, and a list should pop out on the left. hit status bar and it will be back. if your not using the newest version(version 7), hit view and status bar and it will be back.
