Question:

Zoom teeth whitening treatment?

My dentists bleached one of my teeth but it ended up being too white (well a tiny bit whiter than the others) so he offered to "Zoom" my other teeth for $250 instead of $650. But I don't want to do it if I'd have to repeat it after a few months anyway.

So here are my questions:

How long does the effect last?

Does it damage your teeth in any way?

Can the dentist control the shade of white it will bleach the teeth to?

  1. The effects of any bleaching system depends on personal habits(smoking, drinking coffee)anything that stains your teeth. Most bleaching lasts anywhere from 1 to 2 years.Bleaching does not damage your teeth. You might have some sensitivity but only for a few days. The dentist can control the shade buy only applying so many applications

  2. i work in a dental office, my boss often speaks to her dentist friends comparing products and such, one think she told me was that a lot of pts complain about sensitivity after zoom. I have never done it, but i do know that diet has a lot to do with the white lasting.

Talk to the dentist and he/she will be more than willing to answer im sure.........
