  1. I think both. They are right because, they are helping some in dangered animals by keepng them away from hunters and such. They are wrong because, alot of people like to disobey the rules and try to harm the animals.I hate people who want to do that!!!!!!Anyway why do you want to know??

  2. I think they should ban zoos alltogether

    1. Cruel to animals freedom

    2. Encourage people in cities to get out and experience the animals in their natural environment.

    3. This way it will create more awareness of the problems of declining species.

    4. I wouldn't like to be locked in a cage my whole life. Just because we think we are the ultimate creation doesn't give us the right to do what we want to others.

Realistically and sadly though it will never happen, not in our life time

  3. right there good. boring for the animals ,but at least thay will be safe .its one of the most safest place for an animal to be .sad really to see them all locked up but at least no one will kill them.

  4. I think zoos are an important tool in educating the public about the natural world, conservation, and the environment. I feel that a properly run  zoo is an asset to a community.

I can't quote facts and figures, but I believe that most of the animals in zoos today were bred in captivity, so it's not a case of taking a lot of wild animals out of their environment and putting them in cages. These are animals that really can't be returned to nature anyway.

  5. I think a well run, properly maintained and accredited zoo is an asset on several fronts -- the strongest and best being education.  Though zoos also do outstanding work in research, re-introduction programs, species development, etc.

I use to work for the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago.  Anyone that has (for example) spent some time watching a child ask about lions, why they live in prides, what's the Savannah like -- will see the glow of wonder and awe in their eyes.  If they grow up to become good conservationists / environmentalists with a passion for the amazing species of this planet....

How can you say zoos are bad with successes like that?

  6. I think that if the zoos aren't taking animals from their natural habitat- which would harm the animal- and they leave enough room for the animals to live, they are okay.  It is especially good with endangered species, because it provides a place for them to live and build their numbers up, and it enables the public to realize that that particular species is dying.

  7. I think, if its a proper zoo, that takes care of the animals its a good thing and they often help breed more animals that may be becoming extinct,

  8. It depends on the zoo. I for one am in favor of educating the public about wildlife. After all, we love what we know and we do not destroy what we love.

In a well run zoo the animals may live for twice the natural age of their wild comrades, plus they have no real stress to deal with. Good zoo's are great. However, small cheep ones that have sub-par care have no business being open.
