The draws for the UEFA Champions League were recently announced and all the teams were sorted into their respective groups with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604’s Zubizarreta claiming that he is satisfied.
With the Champions League draws taking place, Barcelona were drawn into a group consisting of Benfica, Spartak Moscow and Celtic.
With Zubizarreta receiving the news regarding these draws, he came out in the open and claimed that the Catalan giants are satisfied with the group which they have been drawn in.
La Blaugrana are currently considered to be one of the strongest sides in Europe; therefore, teams like Benfica, Spartak Moscow and Celtic are going to be easy opponents for them.
Zubizarreta, who is the sporting director of La Blaugrana, stated that the Spanish giants are satisfied with the group, and was excited over the fact that his side will be playing teams from different countries, and different style-of-play.
The former Barcelona player also commented on Real Madrid’s group, and stated that teams like Real Madrid are ready to face any side in the world.
While speaking about Barcelona and Real Madrid’s groups, Zubizarreta stated:
“We were always going to be satisfied with that draw. I think as a football fan, of the stands full of passion, with different styles to test us. It will be an interesting group to begin with.”
“Real Madrid have a very difficult group. It is always a risk when teams like Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund are not seeded.”
“But, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629 and Real Madrid are ready to play against anybody.”
Barcelona have taken a good start in the Spanish La Liga as well, as they have managed to take all the six points out of the six available.
On the other hand, Real Madrid didn’t really start their season perfectly, as they could only manage one point out of the available six.
However, they still managed to win the Supercopa de Espana. Even though Barcelona won the first leg 3-2, Real Madrid took advantage of their home stadium during the second leg and managed to win the match 2-1, and won the trophy with help of the away-goal
rule.
