http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zulqarnain-Haider-c98685, the Pakistani wicket keeper, has finally submitted a written explanation to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) about his self-imposed exile in London. The board will now form a committee to look into the matter and a final decision will
be made after keen deliberations.
The young cricketer fled away to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757.
In the morning, before the 5th and the last ODI, Haider flew for London stealthily, creating a vacuum in the team at the eleventh hour and bringing disgrace to national pride.
However, after reaching UK, Haider revealed that he was receiving death threats from some bookies and even from his teammates. He also exposed some match-fixing and spot-fixing scandals of his national team and International cricket.
Later on, he declared his retirement from International cricket.
In a U-turn, he came back last month with a vow to rejoin Team http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755. But he is still blowing hot and cold. One day, he is ready to resume his career and at the very next day, he backtracks.
The PCB has been demanding explanation from him since long. Now the board, after receiving an explanation, has formed a committee under the headship of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sultan-Rana-c91768, the director of domestic cricket.
The committee will review the matter after Team Pakistan’s return from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Green-c60723 have played a T20 match, a 5-match ODI series and a Test against the Caribbean. The 2nd Test will start from May 20.
Haider still claims that there is corruption in his national team and he reiterates that he will not succumb to the pressure of bookies and will keep fighting against fixing practices.
However, some of his teammates argue that Haider is insane and has a complex personality. The board will examine this issue as well.
The 25-year-old cricketer is a good wicket keeper, blessed with talent but his involvement in controversies has halted his career.
Analysts suggest that after the committee’s probe, Haider will hardly have a chance to make a comeback in the international cricket as he is likely to be found guilty for the breach of code of conduct.
