Zultanite eyeing the prize in the Grade 3 Virginia Oaks at Colonial Downs
With jockey Ramon Dominguez on her back, Zultanite will aim to go all the way in the Grade 3 Virginia Oaks at Colonial Downs, which covers a distance of 1 1/8 miles on 21st July, 2012.
Trained by David G. Donk for owners William J. Punk, Jr. and Philip Dileo, the filly has already established herself as a good runner, since her previous two starts were extremely encouraging.
The Kentucky bred runner secured the third spot in the Grade 2 Sands Point Stakes at Belmont Park on 28th May, 2012, where she lost the victory to Better Lucky, by a narrow margin of a neck.

This performance was solid for her stakes debut.
The daughter of El Corredor, out of Wild Again mare Roaming Wild, went into the Grade 3 Boiling Springs Stakes, with the same motivation and finished as a runner-up, whereas the victory was claimed by the Todd Pletcher trained, Dancing Solo.
The three-year-old filly’s last two races were over 1 1/16 miles which means that taking on this slightly large distance would be difficult for her to adapt but, it is nothing that she hasn’t done before.
In her eight starts, the sophomore has only bagged one victory and it is high time she tries for another one.
Volcat comes to the track with more appeal, since she has posted a scintillating victory over the 1 1/8 mile distance.
Trained by Kenneth McPeek, the daughter of After Market, out of mare Kentucky Whisper, claimed victory in an Allowance Race at Churchill Downs on 22ndJune, 2012.

With her brisk pace, she completed the entire distance in 1 minute and 49.39 seconds under the command of jockey, Fabio Arguello, where she defeated, All For Georgia.
Rider Robby Albarado will take charge of her for the first time with the hope of guiding her to victory.

Tackling the familiar distance will definitely make it easier for her and, it will give the Landaluce Educe Stables runner an edge over the other runners.
In terms of weights, no one has a particular advantage since all the runners are entering with 116 pounds.
