Zumba Fitness tops UK’s sales charts again! Call of Juarez: The Cartel number one on UK PS3 chart
Call of Juarez: The Cartel is having a solid week of sales, in the United Kingdom as it debuted on the number one spot in the PlayStation 3 games charts.
What makes the feat even more impressive is that it beat the resurgent Call of Duty: Black Ops in the process. The Activision-published game had to settle for number two on the charts, but seeing how close the game is to its next iteration, Modern Warfare
3, the figures are still quite impressive.
Rally racing game, Dirt 3 spent its first week outside the top 3 position the previous week as it had to make due for fourth spot on the charts after being beaten out by Square Enix’s Dungeon Siege 3, which snuck into the top 3.
Sucker Punch’s moral based comic book-styled open world game, quite a lungful that is, InFamous 2 is still going strong as it fell into place on number five, beating out the Hollywood Effect riding Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows Part 2. The game is not
doing as well as its movie counterpart, but as with most Hollywood-to-video game adaptations it is to be expected.
LittleBigPlanet 2 is still playing, creating and sharing its way in the charts, as is EA Sports Active 2, what is it with the UK and fitness games?
Tiger Woods has to settle for not winning an event as Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters took the second last spot, but it can find solace in the fact that it beat Brink in the process.
Moving on to more signs that the apocalypse is near, as we move onto the overall UK gaming charts and there is no change in the top spot; Zumba Fitness remains the best selling game in the region.
For those who do not know, the 505 Studios-developed game has not only been topping the Nintendo Wii charts for quite some time, but has been at numero uno for an astounding six weeks!
Call of Juarez: The Cartel may have topped the PS3 and Xbox 360 charts but it just could not match the pace set by the super fit Zumba Fitness. Harry Potter’s final game, at least the one’s based on the movies, did well enough to earn itself a top three
spot.
The game beat off competition from the likes Call of Duty: Black Ops (fifth) and Dirt 3 (seventh), who in turn managed to stay ahead of FIFA 11 and Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, which took up the final two positions in the chart respectively.
