The former DFB supremo Theo Zwanziger has slammed out at Bayern Munich’s Uli Hoeness, calling the famous personality to use his expertise on the game to good effect.
The sports official left the German board in March and was succeeded by Wolfgang Niersbach. He has recently been in the news following his published autobiography, ‘Die Zwanziger Jahre’ (‘The Twenties’), because of the controversial
remarks regarding the Bavarian giants’ supremo.

"He has made me very disappointed, especially in the international sphere with sweeping awards in the 'all of them are corrupt' and 'I know everything better' categories and the complete lack of willingness to take on responsibility,”
he stated.
The lawyer further added that Hoeness could have approached FIFA officials instead of coming to him. However, he maintained that the former Der FCB striker has accomplished great things in the game, but he should use his fame to
solve problems not to create more of them.

"He had the offer to go instead of me to the FIFA executive branch. He refused. So all I have are his utterances so I am disappointed,” he added.

"He is a man who has done an incredible amount in football. He uses his fame but unfortunately not to heal divides but to open them up," he finally concluded.
Theo also blasted Niersbach for his lack of interest in social outings. He suggested that in his time he was a social personality, and also took interest in national side, youth projects and at grass root level. He added that he
wants the current DFB president to take care of sporting side and also be more socially active.
