  1. well i suggest calling your vet. it might just be fleas but call just to make sure. You could also take your pet in to the vet instead of calling. If it is just fleas, dont worry anout it, just get some medicine for it. Good luck! :)

  2. You'll want to check for fleas and ticks first if that's a possibility. If your dog does not have fleas or ticks it could possibly be an allergy or skin complications. If it's a skin allergy you can find a shampoo and conditioner with oatmeal in it that will soothe your dogs skin and coat. I'd also suggest changing your dogs food to a grain free if it's an allergy. You can also add some fish oil to your dog's daily diet. Fish oil is full of Omega Fatty Acids which help boost the immune system and overall condition of the skin and coat.

  3. What kind of food do you feed. As dogs get older they can develope allergies just like people can. Some foods have alot of corn, wheat, soy and by products that can cause this to happen. First thing to do is treat for fleas IF that is the problem then look at all other possible reasons

  4. First thing you need to do is find out if it is fleas or not, because scratching a lot and being restless is major signs of them having fleas.  If it is fleas, give him a flea bath, treat your house for fleas and start him on a monthly flea and tick preventative.  If there are no fleas, then it may be a skin irritation or allergy that is bothering him, and if this is the case, just take him into the vet and get checked out so he can get some relief.

    Good luck.
