  3. The correct answer is B.  Reptiles.  They do not have to return to the water like Amphibians do, they were before the birds, and fish can't even leave the water for extended periods of time let alone lay eggs out of it.

    The name for these kind of vertebrate animals are Amniotes, who all have several protective membranes over the egg that prevent unwanted diffusion.  They include reptiles, mammals, and birds.
