is it still possible to get pregnant if you have one

  1. Well if you only have one cyst, I would imagine your other ovary should be in working order. You might find you're ovulating once every two months, so it might take a little longer than usual to fall pregnant. You could always check with a GP to find out the impact on your affected ovary, or have a pelvic ultrasound to check both ovaries for cysts.

    If you have polycystic ovary syndrome (i.e. not 'real' cysts, but the ones caused by eggs not quite making it out) you can still get pregnant, but it takes longer, and you should seek help after 6 months rather than 12 months of trying. (So says my gynaecologist.)
