? about ssi and why people are denied

how come some people can get help and others dont i had a stroke at 47 filed for ssd and got it and my wife who has severe back problems cant get any help and by the way they said i make to much money $1,067.00 a month and the thing is she was only appling for a medical card .i no manny people get it and are able to work 40 hours plus a week and dont tell me they have guide lines ive been throu it all

  1. Well, Chev, the fact is: they DO have guidelines. Thats the facts.

    SSI is a needs based program...for the poorest people in our country who are also unable to work. While she may in fact be disabled, if you make too much money, then you won't qualify for a needs based program. If she weren't married, she may have qualified. If she had her own work record, she may qualify...but b/c you are under one household, your income counts as household income.


  2. who knows why they do that my sister has cancer and she applied for ssi and got denied i think they are all a******s if you ask me b******s.
