if you're looking for something not too expensive, check out your dollar store (mainly dollar tree) for L.A. Colors. I was surprised at how amazing this brand is. Plus it doesn't test on animals, always a plus for me. You can also find Sassy & Chic there which is pretty good.

As for drugstore, I like Wet'n'Wild, Jane, N.Y.C., and Revlon.

covergirl and maxfactor. It depends on your skin tone and oilyness. Some make up are good for sensitive skin, some are good for oily skin.

depends i use bare minerals for my face.. its nice and light and lasts all day long.

and for my eyes i use MAC.

I recently just switch all my makeup... I went from cover girl and mac... to prestige and benefit.. check out their websites listed below..

for prestige they have this awesome wet/dry foundation that replaced 3 different cover girl products and it leaves you feeling like nothing is on your face and it doesn't clog your pores.. plus its pretty cheap stuff.. and it has awesome coverage even when you have occasional acne breakouts like i do..

benefit.. is something i came to find since no other company focused on the dark discoloration of the skin around the eyes.. and they have a few products which are awesome for this that make you look wide awake.. besides that they also have some pretty cool shades or lip gloss and other neat products that everyone should check out.. also price wise it is slightly more... but comparable to mac (and way better by the way) but is definately worth the extra bucks..

There is no actually "best brand" because everyone likes different stuff. Well for me I personally like MAC. It's really great! You should try it out.

I like Physician's Formula for bronzer.

Covergirl for Mascara and eyeliner.

Mac for shadows/liner/fixers and finishers

Clinique's moisturizer (I count that in my routine ;) )

i don't think there is a specific best brand, because i don't think there's one company out there that every single product is excellent. Companies normally have a certain type of product that they're good at, and the rest are just okay.

But i would say for

Eyeshadows: MAC

Mascara: Covergirl or Dior

Liner: Clinique

I love ulta makeup.  What I love most about it, besides it quality, is that it is not super expensive, and if you watch the sales flyers you can usually get it buy 1 get 1 free, plus alot of time they give out free gifts with every $17.50 purchase.

If they don't have an ulta store near you, I like Rimmel and Jane.  They have a nice selection of color choices.
